Being wholesale facilities, the Giftcenter, Jewelrymart and Fashionmart are not open to the public. To retain the integrity of the wholesale-retail relationship, the following admission requirements have been established: For entry, buyers must present ALL of the following pieces of business identification at the Registration Desk
(a) copy of state resale/retail license (i.e., seller's permit) (b) business card (imprinted with name of buyer) or business check (c) personal identification (e.g., valid driver's license, other photo ID, etc.)
Permanent Passes holders must present their passes at the Registration Desk in addition to photo ID. Using specific guidelines, the Registration Staff will determine the type of badge issued based upon the credentials presented.
No persons under the age of 16 will be allowed in the wholesale areas of the building. Children's proof of age required. Infants in front-or back-packs are the only exceptions.
No strollers or carriers are permitted. No more than two (2) guests may accompany each buyer.
Guests are not permitted on Giftcenter Floors 3, 4, and 5 or on Fashionmart Floors 3 and 4. Only qualified buyers (and their employees who present appropriate business credentials) are permitted on these floors.
Guests must remain in the company of their sponsoring buyer at all times.
Giftcenter Jewelrymart
Often ranked the number one destination for travelers and tourists from around the world, San Francisco is also home to a gift and jewelry market as cosmopolitan as the City itself. Located in historic South of Market, the Giftcenter & Jewelrymart is a cornerstone of the San Francisco Design District. A collection of 300 wholesale gift, jewelry, and apparel showrooms represents over 270 product categrories. These showrooms are open to the trade only and service the gift, jewelry, and apparel retail communities in Northern California and the northwest United States. The Giftcenter & Jewelrymart is also an international showcase representing imported products from over 25 countries. The diversity in product, showroom styles, and culture makes the Giftcenter & Jewelrymart and exceptional resource for retailers. Eleven trade shows each year attract thousands of retail buyers annually. Open Monday through Friday, the Giftcenter & Jewelrymart boasts one of the highest daily traffic counts of any similar mart in the country.
Giftcenter
Orignially built in 1912, the building at 888 Brannan was converted into a wholesale mart, housing almost 200 gift and jewelry showrooms. The Giftcenter's wholesale gift and decorative accessory showrooms opened officially in April 1983, and are located on floors 2-5. The Giftcenter is home to some 70 gift and home accessory showrooms. From candles and holiday decorations to lamps and fine tableware, you'll find a comprehensive assortment of wonderful products displayed in some of the country's most innovative showrooms.
Jewelrymart
Since 1989, Fine jewelry and fashion accessory showrooms are housed in the two floors of the Jewelrymart. Over 125 companies offer a wide array of jewelry and accessories, including fine custom jewelry, gem stones, watches, costume jewelry, bridge jewelry, and leather goods.
Fashionmart
If you're looking for San Francisco's only collection of wholesale women's and children's apparel, the Fashionmart is the place to visit. The Fashionmart is home to a number of showrooms representing the best in better women's and children's apparel and accessories.
